We are a group of researchers working on the discovery of common patterns in the field of cancer molecular biology. During last two decades the sequence patterns obtained from different tumors indicates that each cancer has a unique molecular fingerprint. Some cancer types even share similar patterns for the carcinogenesis. Discovery of this information is crucial for prevention, diagnosis and the treatment of cancer.
We focus on developing and applying machine learning and pattern recognition techniques for the analysis of data and modeling of processes related to cancer molecular biology. The broad aim of our researh is to provide computational tools to assist researchers in undesrstanding, explaining, and predicting the behavior of complex biological systems.
